Forty Nine Degrees teamed up with North Carolina Football to re-brand the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Kenan Football Center. Spaces focused on for re-branding, were the Hall of Honor/Entry, NFL Wing, Experience Room, Players’ Lounge, Position Rooms, Team Meeting Room and Weight Room. In addition to bold, dynamic graphics, a large, suspended outline of the state of North Carolina hangs in the entryway rotunda surrounded by illuminated lettering around the rim. That’s not all, the Tar Heel Experience Room consists of speakers, a short throw projector and floating illuminated shelves that serve as a shoe display for all Air Jordan’s.

The Goal
Amplifying the recruiting journey through the Kenan Football Center for the return of Coach Mack Brown, his recruits, and current players.
The Approach
This timeline is extremely aggressive for this size of a project, but both, our team and UNC were prepared to meet agreed upon milestones. Our design approach was to focus our efforts more heavily on certain ‘impact areas’ and to keep the refresh of the ‘bridge areas’ more simplistic with an evergreen design.
The Impact
A space that is bright, modern and bold with a recruiting path that engulfs the UNC brand and highlights the advantages and special perks of being a Tarheel.
