When University of Kentucky Head Basketball Coach John Calipari envisioned the renovated Marksbury Players First Suite, he wanted a space that his players could thrive in. "I want this locker room 10 years from now to be relevant," said Calipari. "Whatever we put in it, we’re thinking futuristic." 49 delivered on that vision. The locker room features a continuous 360-degree, 1.5mm LED ribbon board, comprised of 92 curved, seamless panels. Custom software and configuration integrates the screens with each locker, showcasing each players name, photos and stats. The ribbon can also be used for custom messaging and specialized visual effects. The suite also includes a three-screen touch experience, featuring three vertically oriented 86-inch screens. Users interact with the center screen while all three screens respond with client-managed content and messaging. Larger-than-life murals express the success of the program, highlighting past Wildcat greats and those that advanced to the NBA.
